Josh Taylor’s WBSS super lightweight Ali Trophy final against Regis Prograis has finally been confirmed.
The pair will face off at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday 26 October.
Josh Taylor’s unification world title fight with Regis Prograis has been confirmed for 26 October.
IBF light-welterweight world champion Taylor will face the WBA and interim WBC champion at the O2 Arena in London.
It had been reported that the unbeaten American Prograis, 30, was attempting to pull out after issues over payments with the World Boxing Super Series.
“I’m massively excited. I want to prove I’m the best in the division by taking on the best fighters,” said Taylor, 28.
“Now it’s finally over the line I can concentrate on getting to work in the gym and going full steam ahead again.
“I’m very confident that I can outbox him and outfight him as well, I can’t see anything other than a Josh Taylor win.”
The event will be shown Taylor vs Prograis live on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK and on DAZN in the US.
